With of an altitude of more than 4 000 meters, in the Bolivian mines, silicosis kills precociously the heads of the families.The children must work to survive Au pied of Cerro Rico, the silver mountain crossed by some 90 underground exploitations (silver, tin and lead extraction), miners embark in a truck. More than 10 000 men work there. Le Cerro Rico, mining mountain of 5 000 meters, overlooks Potosi. Exploited for five centuries, it is one of the world symboles. |
