Adenoviruses are DNA viruses which do not have an envelope. Adenoviruses are found in the respiratory tract and can cause epidemic keratoconjunctivitis, sore throat, benign conjunctivitis, and acute mesenteric adenitis. Shown here, magnification x 160,000.
