Pentavac is a vaccine that protects from five diseases : diphteria, poliomyelitis, tetanus, infections due to Haemophilus influenzae B (Hib ; meningitis, epiglottitis, pneumonia, ...) and whooping cough. Contrarily to Pentacoq (killed germ), Pentavac, more recent, is constituted of proteines from the Bordetella pertussis bacterium for the protection against whooping cough. Prevenar is a vaccine protecting from the infections caused by the pneumococcus (Streptococcus pneumoniae ; meningitis, pneumonia, septicemia, ...). | ||
