Chemist's shop. Nexium, an ulcer medication (esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor) used for treating gastro-oesophageal reflux and the resulting irritation to the oesophagus. It is also used along with an antibiotic to eradicate Helicobacter pylori, a stomach bacteria which is believed to play a role in both gastric and duodenal ulcer formation.
