Mars Di Bartolomeo, Luxembourg's Minister for Health and Social Security and Chairman of the European Council on Health, at the "Health in Europe" conference held on April 13-14 2005 in Paris.

This conference brought together representatives of the 25 European Union member states as well as Markos Kyprianou, European Health and Consumer Protection Commissioner. It was organized to create an alliance to fight against widespread diseases such as cancer, AIDS and infectious disease pandemics such as avian influenza, SARS, etc.
