Professor Maurice Tubiana, president of the French Medical Academy and member of the French Academy of Sciences, as of 5 December 2003. An oncologist, Professor Tubiana is the author of several books on public health. Ardent promoter of prevention, he pushes for giving patients greater responsibility for maintaining their health.
