A myocardial infarction is a necrosis (destruction) more or less severe of the cardiac muscle following the discontinuation of the blood intake (ischemia). It happens when a part of the heart, all or a part of the ventricle, is not irriguated by the branch of the coronary arteries that usually bringing the oxygen conveyed by the blood. The infarction affects more than 120 000 persons each year in France, mainly men over 65 years old. It is the first cause of death worldwide.
Multiple non-specific symptoms can come with the myocardial infarction.
But it also occur that infarction come with no preliminary symptom.
